你總不能錯過那個旅舍。 在夜間我能否遇見別的旅人﹖
有許多過來人在你以前。
是否我見到就進去，或是得叩門﹖
絕不會讓你在門口久站。 是否能舒暢，旅途的疲弱創傷﹖
能夠使勞苦的人滿意。
我跟求宿的人都可以有眠床﹖

Will the day's journey take the whole long day?
From morn to night, my friend. But is there for the night a resting place?
A roof for when the slow dark hours begin.
May not the darkness hide it from my face?
You cannot miss that inn. Shall I meet other wayfarers at night?

Then must I knock, or call when just in sight?
They will not keep you standing at that door. Shall I find comfort, travel-sore and weak?
Of labour you shall find the sum.
Will there be beds for me and all who seek?
